Red Deer (Kronhjort)

25 Sep 2008

Yesterday afternoon and evening a friend and I spent in Dyrehaven, just north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It's a fenced area covering approximately 11 square kilometers which is maintained pretty much as a natural forest. In the area you find a deer population of around 2000 animals. The animals (especially the Red Deer it seemed) are rather unafraid of humans, so the area offers great opportunities to photograph them. We ended up spending most of our time around this male Red Deer. The images were shot using my old Canon EOS 10D, since the 40D had an accident involving salt water recently. More on that event will come shortly.

Water drop

4 Sep 2008

It was raining rather heavily here last night, and during my walk at lunch time today there were still drops of water in the vegetation.
